Kick-start is Free, Licence Compliance $15.00 per rider

Sunday MX Practice, pre Gippy Special for Non-Members

Track has been fully groomed

Junior and Senior Members $30.00 Entry, Non Members $40.00 incudes 1 day Membership one day Rec licences available $25.00

Classes to be made up on the day, we are running a fast 50s Class this Sunday providing we get enough numbers

Some Corner duty volunteers are required, please bring someone to help out or you may miss a round, as you will be asked to cover a corner if needed

Sign in 730am practice starts 9am be there early, if you have to get a one day licence, or Membership as this slows down entry

Our aim is to give you riders as much track time as possible so get there early

MX Nationals Wrap-up

This is a quick wrap-up from the weekend at Wonthaggi.

Firstly I would like to thank the weather gods for giving us such a fantastic day on Sunday, it really allowed us to present a fantastic track and enabled us to park 1000 odd cars.

The infrastructure we have invested in over the last few years worked flawlessly allowing the trucks and riders to gain entry to the pits and camping areas without any problems.

The new toilet block was popular and our workers enjoyed the spoils of the renovated Grog-Inn.

A massive thanks must go to all of the Dandenong members who helped in the lead up and over the weekend.

You have shown what being a member of a club is all about, we had over 80 helpers over the weekend with most staying around for a few drinks and a fantastic meal on Saturday night.

Do you want to have free entry and get behind the scenes at the Monster Energy Motocross Nationals??

Round 3 of the Monster energy National motocross championship event will be held at Wonthaggi and we welcome members to come along and be involved at this awesome event.

We are aiming for a combined effort of many hands and if weather prevails we should all have some fun & create some great memories along the way!

As always, prior planning is the key to a successful event so please provide any help & feedback by the 12^th of April to ensure everyone has time to complete each Job and confirm the full workers list.

Thanks to Andrew Lambie, #909 (Kawasaki) for sending in his roving report.

It was all looking good for the weekend with the big names of off-road racing lined up including Toby Price, Matt Phillips, Daniel Milner, Stefan Merriman, Lambie etc

I was all set for my race on Saturday after my preparation at the ORCC the weekend before. But this was a bit of a shock as the A graders had been on the track and it just got rougher and rougher. I was in the Over-50s class in what was a big event, being combined VORC and AORC rounds – I reckon there was at least 280 riders. The Vet classes and Masters were run along with the Pros, with the Intermediates and Clubman run with the Juniors.

A Huge thanks to all the members that came along to the MX Meeting on Thursday night it was a great turn out. Thank you to all the members that are going to help out down at the track this year.

We have had a bit of a slow start to our Club MX season this year because of our 2 day, commitments to MV and other disciplines. But we plan to have the track open a least once a month for the rest of the year

Any member that would like to open the track during school holidays or any other time please contact me for info, regarding making this happen.

Wonthaggi 2 Day Masters a huge success

The 2012 2 Day Wonthaggi Masters was run and won on the weekend, congratulations to all of the class winners and to the lucky kids on Saturday that went home with a new skateboard.

A big thanks to all of our class sponsors for your generosity and to our fantastic members who worked tirelessly in the lead up to the event with all of the track and infrastructure upgrades.

Off Road News

A reminder that this Thursday (1^st of March) the club will be having a short meeting at the clubrooms from 7:30 sharp.

Up for discussion will be this year’s Mk1 Motorcycles Off Road Club Champs and Round 3 / 4 of the VORC/AORC to be held at Wonthaggi.

Any VORC competitors that wants to work one of these rounds will need to register their interest and nominate which day they intend to work via email to frank.g@hargo.com.au before the first round this weekend.

DMCC then give this list to the VORC organising committee prior round 1 as after round 1, workers are not eligible for worker points if they haven’t nominated their working round.

Riders can then when entering for that round tick the “will work” box in the entry form.

The club will be looking for more workers for our VORC sprint round on the Sunday, as we plan to be running 3 sprint tracks.

Help us shape the year for the Mk1 Motorcycles Off Road Club Champs, without member input we can’t keep up the quality and quantity of our events!
