The MX track is located at West Area Rd Wonthaggi and is a slightly undulating track and consists of a strong clay based with excellent loamy sand. The track is fairly fast and flowing with jumps that are all fairly safe and can be taken at your comfortable speed. The track surface can be firmer in dryer months but when prepared for proper use or in cooler months, this track has a delightful loamy surface that can rough up well and create many different lines. The starting gate is concrete with up to 40 riders.
Facilities are designed to cope with the national level events that are run each year like the Australian MX Titles, Vic Titles, GCMX series events and consist of a toilet/shower block and a canteen that is run on race days and most practice days. Our new control tower is first class and designed for the national level events that the club runs here . Pits are large and you can view 90% of the track from the pit fence line.
The Wonthaggi complex also caters for the beginner rider that is suited to pee wee and junior trail type bikes, if you have kids it is a good place for them to learn.
